Sacramental Life

The Sacraments

The seven Sacraments are the means by which God's grace enters our lives at every stage — from birth to death, in joy and in sorrow. St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church is here to accompany you in each of them.

Baptism

Մկրտութիւն

Baptism is the foundation of Christian life — the sacrament by which we are born anew in the Spirit, incorporated into the Body of Christ, and welcomed into the Church. In the Armenian Catholic tradition, Baptism, Chrismation, and First Eucharist are traditionally celebrated together.

The Divine Liturgy

Սուրբ Պատարագ

The Divine Liturgy is the source and summit of our life as a parish. We gather each Sunday at 11:00 AM to celebrate the Eucharist in the ancient rite of the Armenian Catholic Church — one of the oldest eucharistic prayers in Christendom, proclaimed in Classical Armenian and accompanied by sacred chant.

Confession

Խոստովանութիւն

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is God's mercy made tangible — the assurance that no matter what we have done, we can return to the Father's house. Fr. Haig hears confessions before Sunday Liturgy and by appointment. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Marriage

Ամուսնութիւն

The Armenian Catholic Marriage rite is one of the most beautiful in the Christian tradition. If you are preparing for marriage, Fr. Haig will accompany you through the marriage preparation process and celebrate the sacrament with you. Please contact us well in advance — at least six months before your desired date.

Funerals & Requiem

Anointing of the Sick

Ս. Օծում

If you or a loved one is seriously ill, facing surgery, or in advanced age, please do not hesitate to ask Fr. Haig to celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing. This sacrament brings Christ's healing and peace — and the prayers of the whole Church — to those who are suffering.
